A year ago today this happened, one of the most exciting events in Gg history; I would like to say THANK YOU to Seymour and everyone else who showed their support in this event!

This past weekend concluded the awesome week long Food collaboration with Meerkatsu. The positive responses were staggering and has really made it all feel worth the while. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is more than just a sport, it really is a community and a lifestyle. Meerkatsu and myself have really embraced that theory and try and bring more than just on-the-mat techniques to the community. Why? Because if you do BJJ you know that it is more than just a hobby or a short term fix, it is a long term commitment and a way of life. “Chicken Noodle Soup” Pasta Salad

Meerkatsu and I bring you a play on a classic with this recipe! How many of you have grown up destroying chicken noodle soup? Better question, who loves having a big container of pasta salad in the fridge to have for a quick snack of full meal? The answer to both questions is all of you. Now you can have both! This recipe is a bit more involved but nothing crazy. Instead of traditional mayo I use yogurt to lean the dish out and I also soak the pasta with the chicken broth we made by cooking the chicken. The pasta really absorbed the flavor which results in a velvety and rich pasta salad that is also light and refreshing.

The legendary Meerkatsu and myself have teamed up to bring you a week of simple yet delicious recipes

I have had the pleasure to work with Seymour, better known as Meerkatsu over the past couple weeks to put together some really awesome recipes for the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu community. We brainstormed a bit and came up with the idea to produce recipe note cards! Our mission is to create quick, easy and down right tasty grub that you can utilize throughout your training. Our focus is really embrace and enhance the “BJJ lifestyle.” The sport is not just about physicality but intellect and creativity. Another huge aspect of that lifestyle should be embracing your diet. Whether you are a 20 year old walking wall of muscle of a 50 year old weekend warrior, you will not have a good time training if you are not eating right. With that everyone has different things to watch out for when eating whether it is an allergy, grains or even cholesterol levels. We have made these recipes for all walks of life in mind because that is what jiu jitsu is all about. Everyone has their differences and limitations but the there is always a way to utilize those attributes in on the mats, so why should there be any difference within the kitchen?
